Airbnb promotes Italy’s wine districts
As part of its mission to foster more balanced, widespread and authentic tourism, Airbnb is expanding its Turismo Made in Italy project with a focus on wine districts, in collaboration with Coldiretti.
Wine becomes takes center stage: a symbol of local excellence that tells the stories, traditions, and identities of each region. The initiative aims to encourage the discovery of areas less frequented by mass tourism, while supporting local communities and producers who serve as ambassadors of Italy’s food and wine culture.

Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, Castelli Romani, and Pollino: three lands of wine and authenticity
From the hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, home of Prosecco Superiore DOCG, to the volcanic wines of the Castelli Romani, such as Frascati, and the native grape varieties of Pollino in Calabria: each wine district involved tells a unique story of Italy’s rich winemaking heritage. These areas remain off the beaten path, offering visitors the chance to experience the territory in an authentic and unhurried way. Here, travelers can enjoy vineyard walks, guided tastings, winery tours and food and wine itineraries in close contact with local producers. It’s an opportunity to discover Italy’s wine culture through landscapes, stories, and flavors that reflect the deep identity of these communities.

Hosts as ambassadors of the territory
The Airbnb host community plays a key role in this project. True ambassadors of their regions, hosts share with travelers their insights into local wines and traditional products. From recommending the most renowned wineries to highlighting local events and hidden gems, hosts foster authentic connections with the local culture and promote tourism that supports regional economies. The partnership with Coldiretti strengthens this commitment, offering further opportunities to showcase local traditions and the excellence of Made in Italy.
