Generally speaking, you do not need to have a special licence to provide guided visits of public areas or monuments in Dublin. You may, however, need to give advance notice and/or get permission to provide guided tours of private buildings, certain public buildings or attractions which are open to the public or to provide boat trips.
If you host a Trip or Experience which includes an activity in a public park or national park, you may need to obtain permission and, sometimes, a permit. For Dublin city parks and beaches, you can find more information from Dublin City Council here. For national parks, which include iconic Dublin parks like the Phoenix Park and St. Stephen’s Green, you can find out more by emailing the Office of Public Works (“OPW”) at info@opw.ie.
