As of July 1 the DR is open. There will be temperature checking at the airport. Nevertheless, there are no restrictions for arriving passengers. That is, no PCR or testing certificates are required. There will be no quarantine for arriving passengers. Restaurants are authorized to serve patrons until 10pm. Outdoor excursions are allowed, under new protocols.
This beautiful 1 bedroom / 1 bathroom condo is located in the most desirable tourist area of Bavaro. Grunwald is located just 1 minute from the beach, and 5 minutes from restaurants, bars and supermarkets. It is the perfect tropical getaway for families or romantic escapes. The condo features multiple patios overlooking the pool, including a completely screened in patio eating area.

The condo is located in a gated community with 24/7 security with 12 other condos and a pool. This Penthouse condo has 16 ft. vaulted ceilings. A very roomy bedrooms with a full Bathroom and a laundry area. One that is completely screened in to keep the little critters out while you enjoy your meals. The condo is located in the popular tourist area of Los Corales area, and just a leisurely 1 minute walk to the white sandy beaches of Los Corales, and a 30 second walk to the quaint and authentic Italian commercial area. Or a 3 minute walk to the modern Playa Turquesa/ El Dorado shopping / dining plaza. Just a 2 minute walk away to the popular and lively Plaza El Dorado Shopping Center, complete w/ a grocery store, a pharmacy, more spas, a veterinarian, cash exchange, an excellent bakery, salons, 4 restaurants, a Sports Bar & Grill w/ billiard tables...

WHY THIS PROPERTY?
So I looked around and found this great condo. What made it different. I asked myself one question. Would I live here? This was the only condo where I could say YES.
The first thing I did was to improve the property in ways that you will not see in the pictures. But behind the scenes I installed new plumbing and water filters. The plumbing you will find in other condos is steel, because you cannot buy brass here in the DR.
Then I purchased more expensive inverter type air conditioners. They are more expensive because they use less electricity. Other hosts will buy cheaper units, because you pay the electricity.
The last thing that makes this condo special is that I listen to my guests when they make a suggestion about the condo. I have personally lived in the condo and brought it up to my standards, so I personally understand what it means to live there.

The kitchen is newly remodeled. The kitchen is very important to my guests and I provide spices and oil so that you do not have to when you arrive. I understand that you may need more than salt and pepper to cook your meals, and feel that these are the items that I would want in any Airbnb I was staying at.

ELECTRICITY IS EXTRA AND BASED ON CONSUMPTION:
+ The Dominican Republic is a developing country and it is more expensive than in the US. I encourage renters to conserve electricity during their stay, as they will be responsible for electricity charges during their visit.
+ I collect an DEPOSIT IN CASH UPON ARRIVAL. It is just a DEPOSIT, the real consumption amount is calculated at the end of your stay and deducted from the deposit you arrived.
+ Normal consumption is less than $5 per day.
+ Deposit is $5 a day paid in cash on your arrival.
+ The electrical meter is read when you arrive, can be monitored on a daily basis, and is read when you leave. You receive the balance in cash when you check out.

Dear Guests! I have lived in the DR for 5 years now. When I moved to Bavaro, Punta Cana area I wanted a condo on the beach. I am a retired police officer and moved from Miami where I had lived for 12 years. I feel very safe here in the DR and especially in Bavaro. In fact, I think Bavaro is significantly safer than Miami. You have a unique opportunity to spend your holidays in a wonderful spacious condo close to the beach. It is located in Bavaro, Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. The condo is located within a small complex with 24/7 security. Quality cleaning, towels in abundance - all for your convenience. Propane BBQ-grill and a screened in patio enclose make this a great place to stay.

I have a mid-size SUV and can pick-up / dropoff up to 5 people at the airport for a $30 fee. That includes taking you grocery shopping and getting your currency converted when you arrive and leave. This is less than a taxi, who will charge you extra for stopping at the grocery store.
You will have pesos available when you arrive. I make no money from this service. It is only to help my guests. I get you the best prices in Bavaro so you have pesos when you arrive. I purchase back the pesos at exactly the same price so you do not lose money converting currency.
I provide 10 gallons of fresh drinking water and more if needed.
I accommodate my guests with an early check-in or late check-out if it possible.
My first purchase to upgrade the condo after I purchased it, was to buy a new Inverter Air Conditioner. Why is this important? An inverter A/C unit is more expensive because it uses up to 70% less electricity than a regular A/C unit. As the air cools down, the compressor needs less electricity to keep the air cool. This saves you money. There are inverter A/C units in the living room and bedroom.
Stay a week or longer and receive a nice discount.
