We meet in Zona Colonial and visit a few of the iconic dance bars & clubs. Enjoy a friendly night full of dancing and fun. With an introduction to other dancers. I teach salsa beginner-intermediate. Bachata. For more advanced learning I bring an additional instructor. Please let me know if you would like a salsa experience or bachata experience. One of the most amazing places in our Santo Domingo city is the 3 eyes Caves National Park. Discover with me the nature of the beautiful micro rainforest, the history of the aboriginal people that once used the caves, take a ride in the man pulled raft to discover the hidden 4th lake. Other things to note Please be at the meeting point 10 m before starting time; the tour departs on the appointed hour. If you are interested in scheduling a date not in the calendar, please inquire about availability.
Fantastic Adventure to Hidden Waterfall and Historical Cave
Join us to visit this beautiful hidden waterfall in the greenest province of the entire Dominican Republic, Monte Plata. This is a 20-meter-high natural monument located in Bayaguana, where we will enjoy the clean air, the spectacular views, and the great flora that surrounds this wonderful waterfall. We will meet at the meeting point in the morning, to go to the waterfall 50 minutes from Santo Domingo, enjoying the landscapes that the road gives us, while we have breakfast on board. Along the way, we will talk about the history of the island, beautiful places in the DR and get to know each other better. When we arrive at the Cascada, Doña Ramona will wait for us, who will cook our traditional Dominican lunch (al carbon), as they used to cook in the 1900's on our island. Once ready, we will walk for around 15 minutes and we will go into the jungle to reach the beautiful hidden waterfall. It is a steep path but not difficult to cross, (I recommend comfortable shoes to avoid falling) We will explore the waterfall, take photos in it, enjoy the water and the beauty of nature for about two and a half hours and then return to the starting point to enjoy our lunch, chat, rest, and then start out trip back to Santo Domingo stoping by un the three eyes cave learning about history and this fantastic place an beautiful nature monument, after that we gonna head to out meeting point.

Going deep into the authentic Dominican hood
We will meet at our local fishermen dock where we will start our adventure and then we will visit a local market, local shops, walk inside of the neighborhood, eat local and authentic breakfast, visit a typical house, eat (helado de fundita), visit the neighborhood’s sign and interact with the locals. We will also ride the Santo Domingo’s cable car, where you will see a good amount of colorful neighborhoods from above all the way from the national district to Northern Santo Domingo, hear their history, and also ride the Santo Domingo’s train. Then back to the meeting point. Additional: A boat ride can be included at an additional charge passing underneath six of the most important bridges in Santo Domingo, seeing the tree where Christopher Columbus tied up his ships during his visits to Santo Domingo, first university in America Christopher Columbus son’s castle, first chapel built in America and the jail where Christopher Columbus was incarcerated.

Hiking Tabernacle thundering waterfall
**If the app won't let you book it, contact me or go to laextours(dot)com** Looking for things to do in Santo Domingo? Join me in my favorite hike in Dominican Republic: El Tabernáculo. Difficulty level: -Medium; when you're fit/water level is low (dry/cold season) -High; when you're not fit/water level is high (wet/hot season) It is completely doable in all scenarios. You must not have any injuries, don't need to be an athlete either! (If you want a more challenging experience, book 'Hiking DR's most impressive waterfall') LGBTQ+ friendly experience/vegetarian acommodating. Pickup included in Santo Domingo. We depart at 6am (pick up might start up to 30 minutes before). It's a 2-hour road trip with beautiful sights of the mountains to get to the town where we are having a typical dominican breakfast. After breakfast, we begin our journey. It's a 3 to 4-hour route within hiking, swimming, climbing, etc. Swimming is mandatory (no need to know how to swim, you'll have a life vest). Water is cold. You can leave your bags in the car while hiking. After hiking, we change clothes (by the car, there's no restroom). Then we go back to the town to have a dominican lunch. El rio mas cristalino de la Republica Dominicana
Empezamos temprano la aventura para el rio mas cristalino que tiene la Republica Dominicana, conoceremos una de las perlas del sur una provincia llena en hermosos recursos naturales, donde encuentras de todo un poco. Este viaje lo empezamos a las 6 am de la mañana, recogiendo a los participantes en el punto acordado. Durante el camino se le dará un desayuno tipo snack y tendremos una parada para el baño y si quiere comprar algo (Llevar dinero cash si quiere comprar algo) Luego llegaremos a la Ciénega de Barahona donde cambiaremos de vehículo para sumergirnos en la aventura de un safari que nos dejara donde empezaremos la caminata de unas tres horas a través del bosque y el rio. Al finalizar nuestro recorrido volveremos a tomar el safari y nos iremos rumbo a la playa quemadito la cual posee colores turquesa, aquí comeremos frente a la playa y se podrán dar un chapuzón en la misma si así lo desean. Al terminar nos iremos de regreso a Santo Domingo y de camino haremos una breve parada para probar los dulces de cocos de Bani, que son los mejores de todo el país.

Atrévete a conocer las maravillas que esconde pueblo de Bayahibe. Cuando conocí este lugar me quede enamorada por todas las cosas que tiene que ofrecer, eso por esto que me motive a llevar a mis amigos a conocerla y finalmente diseñar esta experiencia. Te recogeremos a las 6:00 am en el lugar que nos pongamos de acuerdo ( Santo Domingo, Distrito Nacional) tendremos una pequeña parada para desayunar. Nuestra primer destino es el corazón de Bayahibe, donde caminaremos unos 10 minutos para llegar. Luego iremos a conocer los maravillosos manantiales de Bayahibe, donde disfrutaremos de un corto baño de agua dulce. Nos adentraremos a la comunidad y compartiremos la experiencia de crear artesanía con los niños de la comunidad a través de Senjuya. Nuestra siguiente parada será en la hermosa playa de Bayahibe, conocida por su hermosa arena fina y su agua color turquesa, aquí degustaremos un rico almuerzo criollo( veganos por favor informar) y también disfrutaremos de un rico baño es esta costa caribeña. Luego nos desplazaremos hacia el parque nacional cotubanama, sesión Padre Nuestro donde haremos un recorrido 3.2K’ en un bosque tropical, donde conoceremos las distintas especies que lo adornan, conoceremos parte de la historias de los primeros pobladores de la isla, casi al finalizar disfrutaremos un rico baño en el cenote que está dentro de la cueva de chicho.

Es una inmersión en el pueblo, donde caminaremos por las bulliciosas callecitas de una parte de Gualey, una comunidad típica de la margen del río Ozama repleta de vibrante vida. Conjuntamente con nuestro guia de la comunidad, conoce la interesante historia de la fundación del barrio, la vida cotidiana, como trabajan (mercaditos, tiendecitas, proyectos de peces), como se desarrollan en el aspecto social y como se divierten (Incluyendo unos bellísimos cenotes con aguas de manantial). Degusta algunas de las comidas populares más icónicas de la ciudad preparadas por expertos locales. Es una oportunidad también para conocer la realidad de los barrios marginados de República Dominicana escuchando y viendo algunos de sus problemas sociales y el cómo la comunidad se está empoderando para resolverlos de manera creativa, alegre y colaborativa. Verás todo esto, y tan solo caminaremos unos tres kilómetros y medio. Es un recorrido fácil, aunque en algunas pocas ocasiones puede ser demandante solo por una empinada colina que la haremos despacio y aprendiendo del lugar. Cuando regresemos, nos despediremos con una cerveza helada escuchando merengue, bachata y dembow junto a los locales.
Dominican Culture Around the Fogón
We will walk throught the "Sendero del Eden" where we will see trees and a beautifull cave named "La Cueva del Eden", here we will go into the Cave and observe the stalactites and stalagmites. Then we will visit our Fogón where we will grind cocoa, make casava like our ancestors and roast coffee. After that... We will take you to cave brujuela so you can swim under ground , a space with 15 meters below, with natural water, while you wait for the food to be prepared in the fogon. At the end we will have a surprise for everyone!!! To enjoy!!! Other things to note We will be outdoors, the caves are rocky so we must have safe closed shoes, sunscreen and repellent, we will use stairs, and we will have access to parking, bathroom and shower.

We meet in Zona Colonial and visit a few of the iconic dance bars & clubs. Enjoy a friendly night full of dancing and fun. With an introduction to other dancers. I teach salsa beginner-intermediate. Bachata. For more advanced learning I bring an additional instructor. Please let me know if you would like a salsa experience or bachata experience. Let's meet at a local colmado (or coffee shop if you prefer) and get to know each other, I have found the best time starts when there is confidence so let's start with that, I will also share important information about Dominican Republic and the lifestyle. Now, let's walk towards La Tarazana! On the way we will stop at the main attractions, the best bars to cool down, and other hidden gems. Main places that we will be visiting: - Santa Regina Church - Maraca Restaurant and bistro - Duarte Park - The Cathedral - Museum of Sugar and Cane rooftop - Fortaleza Ozama - La Tarazana - House of Rum Bar and museum I grew up in this area and is my favorite area of the city to party and hang out with friends/family so I know it well. I have lived in Mexico, France, Turkey, US, and Switzerland so I have a lot of friends from different nationalities who have visited and loved the experience, always thanking me for being their guide and having a great time. Fantastic Adventure to Hidden Waterfall and Historical Cave
Join us to visit this beautiful hidden waterfall in the greenest province of the entire Dominican Republic, Monte Plata. This is a 20-meter-high natural monument located in Bayaguana, where we will enjoy the clean air, the spectacular views, and the great flora that surrounds this wonderful waterfall. We will meet at the meeting point in the morning, to go to the waterfall 50 minutes from Santo Domingo, enjoying the landscapes that the road gives us, while we have breakfast on board. Along the way, we will talk about the history of the island, beautiful places in the DR and get to know each other better. When we arrive at the Cascada, Doña Ramona will wait for us, who will cook our traditional Dominican lunch (al carbon), as they used to cook in the 1900's on our island. Once ready, we will walk for around 15 minutes and we will go into the jungle to reach the beautiful hidden waterfall. It is a steep path but not difficult to cross, (I recommend comfortable shoes to avoid falling) We will explore the waterfall, take photos in it, enjoy the water and the beauty of nature for about two and a half hours and then return to the starting point to enjoy our lunch, chat, rest, and then start out trip back to Santo Domingo stoping by un the three eyes cave learning about history and this fantastic place an beautiful nature monument, after that we gonna head to out meeting point.

You will be making chocolates right from the cacao bean, also preparying and tasting various cacao or chocolate drinks. You'll leave with your own handmade chocolates, customized the way you like them, to enjoy with your friends and family. Children of all ages welcome!

Acompáñame a recorrer uno de los barrios populares más icónicos de Santo Domingo donde crearás recuerdos que nunca olvidarás. Es una inmersión en el pueblo, donde caminaremos por las bulliciosas callecitas de una parte de Gualey, una comunidad típica de la margen del río Ozama repleta de vibrante vida. Conjuntamente con nuestro guia de la comunidad, conoce la interesante historia de la fundación del barrio, la vida cotidiana, como trabajan (mercaditos, tiendecitas, proyectos de peces), como se desarrollan en el aspecto social y como se divierten (Incluyendo unos bellísimos cenotes con aguas de manantial). Degusta algunas de las comidas populares más icónicas de la ciudad preparadas por expertos locales. Es una oportunidad también para conocer la realidad de los barrios marginados de República Dominicana escuchando y viendo algunos de sus problemas sociales y el cómo la comunidad se está empoderando para resolverlos de manera creativa, alegre y colaborativa. Verás todo esto, y tan solo caminaremos unos tres kilómetros y medio. Es un recorrido fácil, aunque en algunas pocas ocasiones puede ser demandante solo por una empinada colina que la haremos despacio y aprendiendo del lugar. Cuando regresemos, nos despediremos con una cerveza helada escuchando merengue, bachata y dembow junto a los locales.
