Nestled in the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park, this recent addition to an (ex) 1800s pub is a cosy yet spacious self catering space. Opposite an old church with views across the valley it offers an an ideal getaway with walks in every direction and outdoor activities (canoeing, climbing, horse riding) further afield. Local events include: The Abergavenny Food Festival, Crickhowell Walking Festival, Haye Literary Festival, The Green Man. The village is two miles away with shops and pubs.

Our cottage is a lounge/Kitchen that is light & airy with French doors leading to the patio, I supply milk, Tea, coffee, sugar, cereal, cake, biscuits, We have a washing machine & Tumble dryer in the kitchen, These are NOT for use of one Night Stays, Only for guests staying 4 days or longer. The Garden House is a peaceful stone cottage set in the historic gardens of High Glanau Manor, the home of H. Avray Tipping (1855-1933) the Architectural Editor of Country Life Magazine from 1907. High Glanau Manor is an important Arts & Crafts house set in 12 acres of gardens designed in 1922. The former Servants Qtrs (Ty Gwas) & Dairy for Glanbaiden House, Pear Cottage underwent a full restoration in 2021 and offers a large double bedroom with ensuite. Although a large 4 bedroom cottage this listing is for a discounted stay as guests can simply book the ground floor. Seconds off the a465 it’s 2 mins from Abergavenny & 10 mins from Crickhowell. Enjoying the views over the sugarloaf or spend the day wandering the canals and local footpaths.
