Nelson lake has a boat ramp and public fishing just 5 miles away.

There are several convenience stores close by, but the closest grocery store is an 18 minute drive. Situated on 26 acres, there is more than a mile of marked trails available to walk as you wish.

Guests are welcome to explore the 500 acres of Altamont Farm which offers miles of hiking trails, a variety of farm animals to meet, and 1.5 miles of James River frontage.
