Mornings on the balcony, with the songbirds is a treat, and relaxing on the riverfront "treehouse" deck, is sublime. Situated on an almost 3 acre point on the Diascund Reservoir this is THE perfect spot to get away from it all & still be in the middle of everything! Options abound - fishing from the dock, bird watching, canoeing, roasting marshmallows around the fire pit, swinging in the hammocks, napping on the screened in porch, grilling on the patio, reading in the loft, playing games (inside & out), or just chill & feel the vibe.

We are thrilled to host guests at the newly renovated Water's Edge Cottage -- a serene oasis offering what may be the best views on the Potomac. The rural charm of St. Mary’s County is among Maryland’s best kept secrets -- 90 minutes but a world away from Washington DC (with no Bay Bridge traffic!). We are near historic Leonardtown, boasting one of Maryland’s few remaining town squares (we affectionately call it “Mayberry”).

Essex Mill Pond is a private 47 acre pond that will leave your family refreshed. Take it easy at this unique and peaceful getaway. If you like fishing for large bass or crappie, kayaking, or just relaxing on the porch swing with an amazing view; this place is for you. If you have a boat, there is a drop off (no gas motors, please!). Bring your poles!
