Acadia Gateway Getaway

The Gateway-Getaway is only about three miles from Mount Desert Island (MDI) where you will find Acadia National Park & Bar Harbor. The apartment is perfect for 1-2 people. You will stay in an efficiency apartment above our detached garage which is in a quiet location (although occasionally our dogs bark when outside). We have received many positive reviews and have hosted for seven summers; we proudly earned SuperHost status after our first season of hosting. Come enjoy a few days of solitude

Bright, quiet, clean studio apartment easy 45 minute drive to Acadia National Park, 5 minute drive to scenic Blue Hill village. Hiking trails are less than a mile away and plenty of fresh and salt water access nearby. Outside table and chairs surrounded by trees, birds and gardens in a quiet, safe neighborhood at the end of a short dirt road. Enjoy total privacy or ask your hosts for local knowledge. All one room, with kitchenette, queen bed, futon couch, and fold out single bed.

Open concept small studio, private patio and entrance, full kitchen. *SHARED wall between studio and main house, therefore some shared noise. 2 minute walk to the ocean , Lobster and Blues Festivals. A small swimming beach is a 5 minute walK, 5-10 minutes to the Farnsworth and CMCA museums, Strand Theater, restaurants, antiques shops & galleries. ALSO NOTE we do not have television. We are on the Blackwoods/Bar Harbor bus route so you can catch the free Island Explorer LL Bean buses to Bar Harbor and back.

The Farm By The Sea is a place to unwind and take in some nature. Private Beach. Kayakers dream. The Farm sits on 5 acres on the ocean in Trenton. A short drive to Acadia and Bar Harbor. You may enjoy dipping your toes at the oceans edge or you may like to just watch the garden grow. The apartment is self sufficient with private bathroom and entrance. We would want you to know that we may be up early mornings along with the chickens so early risers would do best here.
