Large open family room with fireplace, kitchen, dining, sunroom. Complete kitchen including dishes, silverware, wine glasses, blender, coffee grinder, dishwasher. Large deck with table, chairs and gas grill. Upper level game room with ping pong, darts, Wii video games, pinball. Fun for everyone!

Riverwood Hideaway

This OFF-GRID, solar powered hideaway is on the Knife River just a few miles outside of Two Harbors, Minnesota. THERE IS NO RUNNING WATER and LIMITED ELECTRICITY. WE DO HAVE WI-FI. The kitchen has a propane refrigerator and gas oven/stove. Solar power is used for lights and some outlets. Propane fireplace / furnace for heat. The "bathroom" is an outhouse. You bring jugs of drinking water. Hand and dish wash water provided. We supply coffee with pour over utensils, dishes, spices and firewood.

Located 5 minutes from Split Rock Lighthouse, Wild Pines Cabin is a completely renovated 1974 a-frame that sits atop 40 private acres overlooking Lake Superior. During your stay, hike through the property, catch glimpses of wildlife, sip coffee by the fire while taking in the sunrise over the lake, or step out to nearby Gooseberry, Black Beach, or Tettegouche. A beautifully private north woods retreat any time of year!

You will unwind and reset when you stay at our little space in heaven. The loon songs will wake you in the morning and the birds singing during the day will put you at ease. This is a hunting shack turning into a cabin. No tv or running water. We do provide water and a clean porta potty . There is an organic garden on site for observing. AC. Wood (provided) heat. Cook/Grill (gas or flat top) . Unplug & reconnect on our private dock. Walking distance to a connecting lake! Private cabin!

The apartment is located within an old school that has been transformed into a non-profit community center in rural Cotton, MN. Not only can you stay in the old school, but you can shop at the Mercantile Gift Shop, Second Chances Thrift Store, get a latte from the Whiteface Coffee Counter, and enjoy fresh baked breads and rolls from Rivers Bend Eatery and more!
