Relax with the family or enjoy a couples getaway at this beautiful peaceful hideaway. Watch and listen to the river flow by. Fish out your front door. Eagles, ducks, deer, and an occasional moose will visit you. Kayak the river. Swim in nearby mountain lakes. Hike to a waterfall. Relax by one of the gas fireplaces indoors or on the patio and read a book, play a game, watch a movie. There’s no cell service but we do have Wi-Fi at the cabin. Please note; the closest grocery store is 31 miles away.

It has many restaurants and store that offer organic foods as well as vegan options. Lots of artists and galleries to shop from or simply to visit.

The Rusty Bear is our awesome home in Procter Point. Our rock beach on Kootenay Lake gives way to a world of watersports possibilities including kayaking, SUP and world-class fishing. The small community of Procter offers a General Store (complete with fuel and liquor) as well as the Village Bakery (with their famous cinnamon buns). Hiking and biking the Proctologist trails are just out the front door. Golfing is around the corner. Dining, if not on our amazing deck, is a short drive.

It is a favourite among couples, motor bikers, bicycle riders, seniors, small families ( max 2 adults and one child) or single travellers, offering fully equipped facilities, a 2-minute walk to the beach, close to Mackie Beach Park. 3 Just north of Boswell's public boat ramp, midway between Creston and the (free) Kootenay Lake Ferry.
