Spacious, peaceful 1250 sq ft. upper totally self contained suite. The crystal clear Nanaimo river at your doorstep. Spacious kitchen is ready for the family chef but if you don’t feel like cooking the neighborhood offers a variety of pubs and restaurants. Many trails close by for walking or jogging. Features a full kitchen inside, outhouse, outdoor shower, fire pit, covered porch & access to pebble beach trails, making this a magical retreat. Please note that while there is wi-fi at the cabin, there is no cell reception on the property, and many guests have mentioned that they’ve enjoyed the chance to unplug and connect with nature.

We have updated The Hideout and look forward to welcoming the world back at the end of summer 2025!! The Hideout grew from a vision we had when we moved to the Coast in 2020. With the desire to share our dream of living amongst the trees, tucked away from the world, The Hideout was created. Wrapped in hand milled cedar, fir and hemlock this space was designed to remind us to slow down, breathe deep and take it all in.
