Powered by solar energy and year round comfort with an automatic propane heater. There are many comforts inside and outside to enjoy. Spend your days reading, exploring or relax in the sun on the balcony. Take in stargazing or have some smores at the private fire pit. The farm is nestled in nature yet only 15 mins to town or a lake. You won’t forget your stay here.

Beautiful farm setting in Lanark

40 minutes west of Kanata, ON in Lanark Highlands, 20 kms west of Almonte. The Doll House is a small cottage that overlooks the garden, with a queen size bed, heated and air conditioned, has a small fridge, kettle and coffee maker and a small BBQ. There is a sink and toilet in the Doll House and an OUTDOOR hot shower. We also have the Gate House to rent (see my other listing) which has 2 single beds, sitting area, kitchenette and bathroom with shower for $125 a night. Come, enjoy the farm!

This property was deeded to the Motherwell family following the War of 1812, staying in their family name 100 years. The interior of the house is fully renovated with some exterior projects ongoing. This cabin can sleep up to five people (twin, double, and loft has a queen) Includes small kitchen unit with mini-fridge, sink (no running water but jug of water provided) and double burner stove. The kitchen accessories seen in the photos are what is provided. We ask that you not bring your own dish soap, to protect our ecosystem we will provide it. BEDDING IS NOT PROVIDED PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN PILLOWS AND BLANKETS.
