The house is in the exclusive private eco estate - Cathkin Estate, bordering the uKhahlamba Drakensberg Park World Heritage Site. The estate exceeds 1,000 hectares, with an abundance of free roaming wildlife (zebra, eland, wildebeest, oribi etc) and a host of birds and flora. A dreamy location for any nature lover!

John and Debby welcome you to a peaceful, tastefully decorated, self contained guest cottage within Bergview Private Estate in the Central Drakensberg, a World heritage site. Queen bed, full dstv, ceiling fans, kitchen, lounge, en suite bathroom with shower await, as you step into this little piece of Heaven on earth. Beautiful views, hikes, outdoor activities right on your doorstep. Restaurants, supermarket, a canopy tour, reptile and raptor centres nearby. A nature reserve a short drive away.

Highbourne Cottages - Aloe

Coldstream Cottage

Set on a 20hectare property on the banks of the Mooi River, Coldstream Cottage is the perfect place to unwind. Enjoy the beautiful views on the verandah, stroll down to the river or have an early morning run. The cottage is an architect designed, open plan, one bedroom unit with partly open plan bathroom. Morning sun pours through expansive glass panes, a free standing fireplace and solid wood floors help keep it warm in winter. A 20 minute drive gets you to Nottingham Road shops and restaurant

Beautiful Breeze Cottage

Beautiful Breeze Cottage sits among the stunning hills of the Dargle Valley. It overlooks 3 tranquil dams, rolling pastures and an indigenous forest. There are cattle and horses in the fields, abundant bird life to enjoy and peacefulness to breath in. It's the perfect place to recharge while escaping the pressures of city life and with the Midlands Meander on our doorstep you can be as busy or as quiet as you choose. The farm is now fully off Eskom power so load shedding is a distant memory.

Anne’s Cabin -A tranquil getaway

Anne's Cabin offers comfortable accommodation in a charming self-catering cottage on a peaceful farm in Underberg. It is ideal for couples or small families looking for a break away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The cottage sleeps 4 guests and has 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom. The bedroom has a queen size bed and there is a double sofa bed for 2 more guests. The bathroom has a shower. The living area offers comfortable seating and the kitchenette is equipped with a fridge-freezer.

Inkunzi Cave - A Unique African experience.

Situated in one of the safest, crime-free areas of SA, with tar roads all the way, is INKUNZI CAVE. A totally unique, owner built unit with a Bushman theme. 1 bedroom only with double bed. Single bed in lounge . An amazing "rock" bath and separate shower. Overlooks a beautiful rock pool. Very private. 2 other cheaper units on the property are listed separately: THE ZULU HUT, and DIDDLY SQUAT. All have stunning mountain views, are comfortable and fully equipped for self catering.

Converted Stone Barn

The rustic charm of a converted stone barn set in the majestic Drakensberg mountains. Soak up the wonders of nature on the patio with uninterrupted berg views as cattle, horses graze nearby, enjoy a stroll down to the Mkimkhulu river for a spot of fly fishing. For the more active a hike along one of the many trails on the farm there are plenty of birdlife to enjoy, or bring your bike for fantastic MTB trails. Families love to escape here to re-connect/re-set, to soak up the mountain views, lawn games, bonfires, small dam etc or to explore the 3 well loved nature reserves. Surrounded by trees, farmlands and heart warming views out to Giants Castle. Secure and peaceful this cottage is a split level barn conversion - humble, homely and fully equipped for self catering, comfortably hosts up to 9 guests in 6beds.

Hamstead Farm eco-friendly Cottage

Hamstead Farm Cottage is a unique, cosy, two-bedroom solar and wind-powered 80 sq m split-level eco-friendly guest house set in the grounds of the main dwelling on a small farm. There are spectacular mountain views of the Southern Drakensberg with a small stock-watering dam close by. Children can play safely in an adjoining fenced, grassed area. This is a quiet and tranquil get-away where individuals, groups and families of all backgrounds and persuasions are welcomed.

The cottage is self catering, and close to Mooi River town for supplies or takeaways. There is 4km of rough dirt road to access the farm (high clearance vehicles recommended)
