If you fancy the beach, both Galway and Strandhill Co Sligo are only an hour away. Westport is also a great attraction where you can climb the famous Croagh Patrick. The Castle rests on about half an acre of land with Ballindooley Lake lying to the south west. It is surrounded by low walls and hedges: with a gated entrance controlled by an electronic security system. Features include 3 murders holes and a dungeon The castle was built by the DeBurgo family (approximately 1480).
