Gunnu Hús by Meðalfellsvatn ( Our lakeside cottage nestles at the foot of Medalfell mountain and the garden leads right down to the lake. The views are spectacular, of the lake and its surrounding mountain scape; it is a place of pure tranquility. It has 3 bedrooms and an open plan kitchen and sitting room. It has a large double bedroom, and small double bedroom and a room with a bunk bed. It is well known and often listed as one of the most scenic and lovely summer cottages in Iceland.

Good location for day trips to Snæfellsnes and the Golden Circle. During the winter time is a good chance of seeing the Northern lights (Aurora Borealis).

From Reykjavík, please take the second Route 460 entrance. The final 3.5 km is a typical Icelandic countryside gravel road. If using the first Route 460 entrance, the gravel section is about 7 km. Please note: For bookings of 3 guests, the third guest will use the comfortable single bed in the living room.
