The beautiful 'Le Petit Chateau', at 'La Tuilerie de la Roussie', originally built in 1551 is entirely yours to enjoy. Ideally situated on the bank of the River Vézere in the pre-historic area known as the 'Vallée de L'Homme' between the fascinating town of Les Eyzies and market town of Le Bugue. To explore the area we offer FREE use of mountain bikes and a kayak*, there is direct access to the river and a 12km cycle path. Or simply relax around the heated swimming pool on luxury sun loungers.

The Vézère Valley in the heart of the Dordogne hosts pre-historic caves & magnificent castles. We are a five minute drive of Le Bugue and within half an hour of Les Eyzies, Sarlat and Lascaux.

Welcome to L'Ours et Son Petit Oiseau (The Bear and his Little Bird), set in 5 acres with views over a wild valley, run with deer and wildlife. You could choose to sit, unwind, cool off in the crystal clear pool, relax in a hammock, soak in the wood-fired hot tub or get to know the many animals who also call this place home.
