Historic Discovery Bay Beach Cabin Stunning Views

Experience healing and peace with the sound of gentle waves on Discovery Bay. Our cabin was built in 1939 by our grandfather who was an early businessman in Port Townsend. He wisely recognized for decades to come this would be a prized place of rest, enjoyed by 5 generations. Our two kayaks for beginners and new paddle board are available for rent. Explore the unbelievable beauty of the Olympic National Park just a few miles away featuring hiking to rainforests, glaciers, and mountain lakes.

Tucked into a lush rain forest, this cozy and private tiny house is a peaceful retreat for slowing down. Wake to birdsong and filtered light through the towering trees, enjoy coffee or wine outdoors on the deck, grill dinner and gather by the fire pit as stars appear through the forest canopy. A simple, thoughtfully designed base for exploring the port towns and the Olympic Peninsula — or doing nothing at all. That's how we planned it. Small pets welcome. There's a noise ordinance 10pm to 8am. So the outside hot tub is restricted after 10 pm.

Located just over a mile south of the iconic Hood Canal floating bridge.

Mature cedar, fir, spruce, and big leaf maple trees abound, a year-round creek runs through the property, and a wonderful beach awaits you with habitat that boasts nesting eagles, osprey, otters, raccoons, opossums, and a myriad of waterfowl, songbirds, and hummingbirds. Two single kayaks are available for your enjoyment! Enjoy oysters?...gather them right off the beach!

When people ask where you are staying, you can say..."I'm staying in The Sweetest Little Cabin!". Located in charming Poulsbo, WA, known as the Little Norway of the Pacific. Close drive to the Olympic Peninsula and only a 35 minute ferry ride away from Seattle. The SLC sits on almost two acres of private, wooded property with beautifully landscaped lawns and gardens. Many attractions are within a 10 minute walk, including Mukilteo beach, the ferry terminal, the Sounder train to downtown Seattle or Mukilteo town.
