Cwt Glo is a cosy and peaceful cottage for two in Northern Snowdonia nestled between two mountain ranges the Carneddau and Glyderau. Cwt Glo is situated in a small village near Bethesda called Mynydd Llandygai. There is private off road parking next to the cottage. Cwt Glo is Welsh for Coal house and the cottage was the place where the coal was weighed and measured. The property has been both a farm and coal yard for the local area. Cwt Glo is a semi sustainable/off grid cottage it has a solar and wind system however there is the backup of mains electricity. There is also an LPG central heating and hot water system. The cottage has a wood burning stove to keep you cosy and warm in the evening after a busy day exploring the local area. We also provide the wood for your stay.

Relax in front of the woodburning stove after a days exploring, watch the sun set over Penrhyn Castle, take a walk down to the beach, or enjoy a drink at the The Slate Tavern and a walk home across the fields. This beautifully refurbished, 19th Century Quarryman's cottage has been recently renovated to provide contemporary high quality accommodation. Featuring oak beams, the main living space is open plan having been divided in seperate areas with comfy seating, hand built kitchen and dining area. The cottage is equipped with all you need to make the most of your stay. There are comfortable double and single bedrooms at the rear of the property. The bathroom features a large walk in electric shower.

A peaceful, rural location with stunning sea view over the bay, a dog friendly pub 8 mins walk away and 30 mins walk down the hill to the beach.

An ideal base for fishing, walking, cycling and exploring the beautiful North Wales coast and the stunning Snowdonia mountain range.
