Saligo Apartment

Stylish and comfortable self-catering accommodation for up to eight people. Luxurious bedrooms – all ensuite, a well equipped kitchen and large lounge area are at the heart of this delightful holiday property. Saligo apartment has 3 double rooms, 1 twin room (all ensuite) and sleeps up to 8. The elegant dining room, well equipped kitchen with modern appliances and units, and a family bathroom and additional toilet are also on the ground floor. The bright living space utilises the full height of the original hall, with a gallery area above the lounge. There is a twin bedroom (with ensuite facilities) on the ground floor adjacent to the family bathroom. Two double bedrooms are accessed from the landing gallery – both rooms, with restful décor and stylish furnishings, have double beds and ensuite shower rooms. The ‘Master’ bedroom – like all the rooms this is ensuite - has its own staircase at the rear of the Hall and is above the twin room – making it an ideal family unit. A blissful night’s sleep awaits you in the super comfortable kingsize bed.

The Old Byre, An Gleann

The Old Byre is a spacious, one bedroomed cottage to the rear of An Gleann, our home/business. It sits 4 miles outside of Port Charlotte on the road to Portnahaven. The cottage has its own private parking and secluded patio area to the side and back. Recently built on the site of our old byre, the cottage combines traditional features with bright decor and all the essential home comforts. Set within our 1 acre garden, surrounded by forestry and farmland, this is the ideal place to come to relax!

Beautiful granny flat with sea views, terrace, well-equipped kitchen and en-suite bathroom for up to 4 people. Unfortunately not suitable for dogs and small children. A further 3 rooms located in the main house can be additionally booked on Airbnb, also to provide a second bathroom. Please let me know via Airbnb Messenger who will be arriving and when so I can prepare the rooms. The sofa bed is a “small double” (1.20 m wide) and only suitable for one person, skinny couples or 2 children.

The Black House, Islay

The Black House is a unique property situated between Bruichladdich and Port Charlotte on the island of Islay. We use the house for High School to save commuting from Jura every day so don’t expect a pristine holiday let but rather a loved family space. There are 2 double beds and 2 bunk bedrooms (if you’re a party of single adults then 4 is the maximum number). Views are stunning and Islay’s great for whisky, wildlife or just rest and relaxation. Tangy Lodge is located right by the coast, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind for the whole family. Just a 10 minute drive from Campbeltown and 1 mile away from Westport beach (famous for its fantastic surfing), the area is known for its traditional whisky distilleries, outstanding scenery and the classic song "Mull of Kintyre". The lodge is also ideal for a golfing getaway, with 5 courses nearby and Machrihanish being known for having the best opening hole in the world.

Croft Acre Holiday Pod

A cosy Pod on the edge of Port Charlotte. Nestled in the countryside on our small croft, the setting provides access to beautiful landscapes, local wildlife, a 5 minute walk to local amenities including a shop, pubs, restaurants, beaches, museum and island bus route. A 20 minute walk along the Lochindaal coastal path connects the neighbouring village of Bruichladdich, where you can enjoy a local coffee stop or experience a whisky tasting and tour at Bruichladdich Distillery.

The Wee House

The Wee House is a one bedroom seafront cottage looking onto Port Ellen. Sleeping up to 4 guests with a sofa bed (full size double) in the living room. Listing price is for 2 guests sharing the bedroom. If the sofa bed is required for bookings of 2 guests please let us know as there is an extra charge (£10 per night). The cottage is within walking distance of local shops, pubs and restaurants and near to the distillery path taking you to Laphroaig, Lagavulin and Ardbeg.

It has now been transformed into a two bedroom cottage with large windows and patio doors giving spectacular views down to the lighthouse at Portnahaven and the surrounding area. It is an excellent place to explore the extensive range of flowers and wild life native to Islay.
