It is a 5 minute walk to various cafes, Pizza places etc supermarkets, chemist & post office. Also very close to bus stops which will take you to the city past the well renowned North Hobart restaurant precinct ( which is only a 15 min walk anyway). Located within 50 metres of the North Hobart's entertainment strip; full of restaurants, wine bars, cafes and cinema and within walking distance of city centre. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, families (with kids), and bigger groups.

Down the Lane @ 408 - On the North Hobart Strip

Down the Lane @ 408 is tucked down a laneway on the restaurant strip of North Hobart. It is surrounded by cafes, restaurants, pubs, galleries, and opposite the iconic State Cinema. The heart of the CBD is a 15 minute gentle walk or alternatively the bus stop is directly opposite the accommodation. There is parking allocated to this accommodation. The location is one of its best assets. It is difficult to get accommodation on the strip at this price

The original Cottage once served as the first North Hobart Post & Telegraph Office and has been recently renovated to accommodate guests. It is an upstairs studio with it's own entrance. It is warm, spacious, comfortable and self contained. The studio connects to a second separate bedroom which can be made available for additional guests. There is an outside deck for the exclusive use of guests.
