Welcome to Oscar’s House, the oldest Bed and Breakfast on Ocracoke Island. Oscar’s began in 1984 in this comfortable historic house built in 1940 for Capt. Joseph Burrus, Ocracoke’s lighthouse keeper for 16 years. The house is named for Capt. Joe’s son, Oscar. Although this house has been operating as a B&B for 38 years, this will be its fourth year under new ownership! Please join us, Robin and Chad Macek, in our new adventure! This accommodation offers the upstairs of a private home consisting of 2 beautiful bedrooms and a private bath shared by these 2 bedrooms. It is on a lovely, quiet, treed street in a very upscale Kitty Hawk neighborhood. Guests will have access to private pool, deck, private outdoor shower with toilet, laundry room, Kitchen/Dining area for self-prepared meals --storage in garage. Easy walk to the beach in 10 minutes or drive in 2 minutes & park in community parking right at beach access.

Our home is over 100 years old located on a creek in the heart of Hatteras Village. Several shops, restaurants, and the beach are within walking and biking distance. You can even kayak or paddle board to some of the shops and restaurants or just paddle out to the Pamlico Sound. Wake up, have some coffee on the back deck overlooking the creek, and venture out for a day at the beach. If you are looking for a quiet place to get away, relax, and still feel right at home, this is your place.

The Cypress Moon Inn

The Cypress Moon Inn is on the Shore of The Albemarle Sound. The Guest Rooms are Waterfront with a spectacular view to the West over the water. We serve a Continental Breakfast and our guests may use our bicycles,kayaks, paddleboard and beach equipment. We are in a natural quiet safe setting with no immediate neighbors. The Inn is of quality construction and with substantial furnishings. The Inn is 1.5 miles from the beach. We are non smoking. We cannot accept young children or pets.
