Newly renovated huge 165sm, 1890s apartment in the heart of Berlin. High ceilings, original wood floors and private balcony. On major transport lines. Our home is perfect for families who need extra space.

Our home is a newly renovated 'Altbau' (1895) in an historical building. The apartment is huge- 165 square metres (1700 square feet) and the two main bedrooms are located at the back of the apartment on the quiet courtyard. There is also a very large bedroom at the front of the apartment with two single beds and a large desk for working.

We have a full beautiful eat in kitchen and dining room with induction cooktop, coffee machine (and coffee and tea), double oven and microwave, toaster, Vitamix etc. Sonos speakers in all living areas. Washer and dryer. Two full bathrooms.

This is our family apartment- we share our apartment while we travel. Ordinarily cats live here- they will not be here during your stay and the apartment is thoroughly cleaned- however if you are severely allergic to cats this probably isn't the right place for you.

Check in is via lockbox directly outside the front door. Also we have friends and neighbors who have spare keys and can assist with any issues.

** FILM INQUIRIES ** We do accept location requests for small still photography commercial shoots. Commercial day rates apply and you will need shooting permits and be able to provide me with an insurance certificate covering my property.

Our home shoulders both the trendy Kollwitzkietz with its famous Saturday market and the desirable Winsviertel with its lovely playground and park, restaurants and wine bars.
You will quite literally have everything on your doorstep. We have a grocery store in the neighboring building along with dozens of restaurants surrounding our apartment. There are two proper coffee shops within a few hundred metres (Lexi is Australian so this is a very important consideration for her!)
The wonderful Volkspark Friedrichshain park is just over 1km away and there you can explore, dine, play or run! We will leave a detailed guide with all our suggestions and also feel free to ask us for our personal favorite places to eat and visit!

Hi! We are two long time Venice Beach locals and parents now living in Berlin. We love sharing our beautiful home in LA on Airbnb as well as our Berlin home (complete with cats!) when we are out of town.

Lexi is a film production professional originally from Sydney, Australia. Nick works in the film industry (doesn't everyone in LA?) and came to the USA from Switzerland when he was 17. We discovered Berlin in 2014 and have decided that we never want to leave!

Between us we have lived in Sydney, Switzerland, the Australian Outback, Vancouver, London, Paris, Brussels, Tanzania and our current home away from home, Berlin. We love making friends from all over the globe and while we are based in Venice, Airbnb is a great way for the tradition to continue!

Nick speaks French, Spanish and Italian as well as English while Lexi speaks only Australian :)

We have lived all over the world on location in short term furnished accommodations so we are experienced guests as well as hosts. We like to think we know a little bit about what works and doesn't work when you are living in someone else's home away from home.
