The bothy has no mains water or electricity so is a real alternative experience, with separate flush toilet and washing facilities. Highfield commands an elevated position giving panoramic views of Selkirk and the surrounding hills. Situated on The Borders Abbey Way there is easy access to excellent walking and cycling routes. For the more adventurous we are a short drive to great mountain biking routes at Innerleithen and Peebles. Melrose & Tweedbank railway station is a 10 min drive, Edinburgh is just under an hour away.
