“Low Tide” studio *no cleaning fee!

This unique place has a style all its own. It’s an open concept studio for two on the “quietside” of Mount Desert Island. This cozy, newly constructed nook is the perfect place to rest your head after exploring all our island has to offer! Note, there is no oven or cooktop. Your kitchenette will provide a sink, refrigerator, toaster, microwave and coffee maker. Your studio is the downstairs to the owners apartment, both with their own entrance and shares a driveway with my other rental.

If you want to be near the action of an active and interesting harbor, this is the place for you. You will have a front row seat to spectacular morning sunrises over the harbor, the comings and goings of the fishermen and the many boats docked at the marina and anchored in the harbor. This spacious four bedroom, two and a half bath home is located at the Great Harbor Marina just half a mile from downtown Southwest Harbor. Walk to restaurants, art galleries, specialty shops and more.

Other amenities: A/C (bedroom), full bathroom with shower, cable, TV, a small dining area, and free wifi. All guests have full access to common areas: Indoor kitchen in the main building, outdoor kitchen, hot tub, and bonfire pit.

The unit is located in Somesville in the center of the island at the top of the Somes Sound. The small backyard area is a nice private spot to relax without having to bump into any other guests in neighboring units. The Bird's Nest is an elevated efficiency apartment with views of Somes Sound, Southwest Harbor, and the mountains of Acadia. There is a small efficiency kitchen and a sunny second floor deck to enjoy the view while having a peaceful breakfast or evening meal. While the property is secluded and private, we do have our own private wooded trail that drops right into town, where you can enjoy Southwest Harbor's restaurants and shops, or catch the free Island Explorer bus.
