COUNTRY GUESTHOUSE: Looking for a quiet get away in a country environment close to the Black Hills, Ellsworth Airforce Base, the Event Center and Regional Airport in Rapid City? We are near several attractions including Mt. Rushmore, Reptile Gardens, Bear Country, Badlands, plus many more. We also have several animals on our property including horses, dogs, cats and wildlife such as antelope. It involves a private entrance with a rustic atmosphere and open concept with all modern amenities.

Nestled at the foothills of the Wichita Mountains, the Take a Hike Cabin at The Lazy Buffalo portrays the captivating landscape that awaits you in the Wichita Mountains where you can find 59,000 acres of mixed prairie grass, ancient mountains, lakes, streams, and miles upon miles of trails waiting to be discovered. The Lazy Buffalo has 13 themed cabins. The spacious Take a Hike Cabin is handicap accessible, sleeps 2 guests, and offers a king size bed and bathroom with a roll in tiled shower.

This large farmhouse boasts all the modern conveniences and special touches but retains it's 1920's historic charm. It has all the room needed for you to enjoy a great time together in the common areas: Living, dining, full kitchen, wrap around porch and covered outdoor living space with silo fireplace. Up to 10 Guests can then retreat to 5 bedrooms each with en-suite bathrooms and separate heat and air.

It is a 1907 bungalow that has been completely remodeled but maintains the historical charm. When you walk through the door you are walking into the splendor of an era gone by. This charming house is within walking distance to Salina Community Theater, Stiefel Theater, many restaurants, grocery store and many other downtown shops. Tony’s Event Center and River Festival only half mile away. The drive way is shared with my neighbors so please park on street. Nightly, Weekly and Monthly rates.
