The Starlite

The Starlite at Ruakh is a private luxury geodesic dome tucked along the edge of the woods on our 87-acre farm in Tazewell County, Virginia. Designed for quiet getaways, slow mornings, clear night skies, and time by the fire, this 500-square-foot dome blends the comfort of a thoughtfully finished stay with the feeling of being close to the land. As dawn breaks, you may spot a bear or hear the gentle whisper of the creek where my grandmother used to frolic 90 years ago. Despite being in nature, you'll have access to a hot shower, a toilet, a mini-fridge, and a coffee maker.

With an ATV friendly town nearby, ride to the grocery store, gas station, Lynn's Drive Inn or Buffalo Trail Restaurant. With the trails accessible nearby you won't waste any time getting to the fun! Spend the evenings in the hot tub or by the fire pit, while cooking dinner on the grill in the spacious outdoor area.

Come enjoy quiet seclusion on a 210 acre farm located 5 miles from Winterplace ski resort and Weathered Grounds Brewery and only 3 miles off the Ghent exit! Self check-in on a private half mile long road. Feed the fish with two ponds full of blue gill, coy, bass and catfish. Hike or mountain bike on miles of trails throughout the property! Then come drink hot chocolate next to the fireplace, or have a glass of wine while watching the sunset on the covered porch!

Brushfork Valley Getaway

Welcome to our family home, a cozy and charming 1940s home nestled in the Brushfork Valley of the West Virginia Mountains. Our house is centrally located between Bluefield, Bramwell, WV and Pocahontas, VA. This makes it the perfect base for exploring the region. Winter Place Ski resort is just over 40 minutes away. You can also visit the local restaurants, historic theater, shops, and colleges. We hope you'll consider staying with us on your trip!

A Bit of Heaven Rental:Cove Suite Warrior Trail

Take a step back in time. Rural America. Before fast food chains, and even before Walmart... Surrounded by Mountains and conveniently located, direct access to Warrior Trailhead and High Rocks. Enjoy Wilmore Dam, or perhaps a day at Berwind Lake trout fishing, or hiking. This can be purchased with the main house or as a stand alone unit. If purchased together the price will be reduced to $40 a night. Guest will have entire space to themselves.
