We are a short drive from both Wanganui, and Kia Iwi beach , we are surrounded by farm land, so enjoy the peace and quiet, but are close enough to enjoy the many cafes and restaurants Wanganui has to offer. Take advantage of the beautiful river, our fabulous river front Saturday markets and our many specialty shops along our gorgeous main street. We have lovely gardens here you can sit and enjoy while reading a book, the only noise is that of the birds and the odd sheep or cow. Relax and enjoy

Omaka Lodge - The Ruapehu Suite

Omaka Lodge is a boutique bed & breakfast venue situated alongside New Zealand’s iconic Forgotten Highway. The Ruapehu Suite is a self-contained luxury suite occupying a floor to itself and including a bedroom, bathroom, and open-plan living-dining-kitchen with oven and dishwasher. Continental breakfast is largely homemade and is served in the guest dining room. The mezzanine floor, accessed by a steep staircase, has a sofa, 42" TV , Freeview, DVD, WIFI. An extra 32" TV with Chrome-cast is downstairs.

Braemar House is great for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, small groups & families (the most fantastic play park for kids is just a few minutes away). We're located just across the road from the Whanganui River & 10min walk from the main shopping street Victoria Avenue. Prices are per room - additional charges for either a cooked or continental (cereal, yoghurt & fruit) breakfast. This room has a queen bed, a small hand basin and a garden view.
