Make some memories at this unique, family-friendly waterfront river cottage (approx. 1,700 sf)! Fish, relax in the hammocks, or soak in the hot tub overlooking the river. Kayaks and life jackets available upon request at no charge (life jackets required). Please note we have a video camera overlooking the driveway, stairway, and river bank below the cottage. This property has stairs to enter and many stairs down to the river bank, plus uneven floors inside. Please consider this before booking.

Welcome to the historic Abingdon Donkey Lodge, a farm stay on the Creeper Trail. We're waterfront too, and have sweet, fuzzy donkeys to pet. Your stay includes the upstairs of our beautiful home: 2 huge bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a dining area, and a balcony. (Your hosts live downstairs, so we share an entrance.) No kitchen or laundry access. Come relax and play in the great outdoors. Our area is abundant with lakes, rivers, waterfalls and hiking (the Appalachian trail is just a mile away). Our rustic cabin is built from 1875 hand hewn logs and is located on Spivey Creek in Unicoi County Tennessee. The towns of Erwin TN and Burnsville NC are just down the mountain for shopping convenience. For the arts, entertainment and airport convenience Asheville NC and Johnson City TN are less than an hour away. Come stay in our lovely cabin.

Our Watauga Lake front home is a perfect vacation getaway, located at the end of a point, the large deep water dock is ideal for year round boating and water sports. Conveniently located, we are within the quaint town of Butler and close to restaurants, small country stores and Cove Ridge Marina. Although Watauga Lake is our main attraction, we are near a number of waterfalls, hiking trails, mountain biking trails and the shopping areas surrounding the Tri-Cities and Boone, NC.
