Big R's Retreat Secluded and located in Nature

Welcome to our home: where we have found peace and relaxation for over 20 years. A German native, Big R fell in love with the open land and rolling hills of Wisconsin, becoming a US citizen in the 80s. He met Curly, a Chicago city girl, who brought a little city to his country life. They enjoy raising buffalo and spending warmer days on their porch enjoying the fresh air and beautiful views (with no mosquitos!). Now they want to share their idyllic and peaceful home with you. Drive down a dead-end road and pull up to a rustic cabin filled with high-tech and cozy amenities. We have something for everyone with a gas fireplace, tv (complete with dish, Cinemax, HBO and a Bluetooth sound system), board games and a full kitchen. Take a drink outside to soak in the hot tub or sit around the campfire. When the day is done, you will fall asleep instantly on the memory foam bed, either in the loft or the bedroom, and wake up to a beautiful sunrise looking out over your little getaway.

Chestnut Cottage

Built in 1890, Chestnut Cottage is located in the heart of the historic district within easy walking distance of shops, galleries, restaurants and historic sites. The Cottage features a comfortable living room, bright dining room, country kitchen, first floor bathroom and two upstairs bedrooms with one queen bed and one twin bed. Chestnut Cottage features artwork by prominent local artists. Wi-Fi, cable TV, DVD/CD players are included. Complimentary coffee/tea service. Minimum two night stay.

Tree Bear Cabin, on a 67 acre Tree Farm

Step away from the demands of life into this hidden gem. Tree Bear Cabin is a 100% real wood log cabin above the bustle of town, nestled among a 67-acre tree farm. Enjoy the quiet of the forest, and the cozy cabin interior. Play games on the wide lawn, explore the trails throughout the property, and make the most of your trip with our noon check-in time and 4 pm check-out times! Activities close by include fishing, kayaking, hiking, wine tasting, UTV Tours, and visiting local shops & Orchards!

Welcome, with this unique key-less entry, you have privacy. Walk into the fully loaded kitchen and living room. The living room has a desk to work at or watch TV. The bathroom has a walk in shower; use the fan or heat lamp. The Bedroom has a queen size bed, a dresser, night stand with lamp. Along with a spacious closet, it includes a washer and dryer. Feel free to do your laundry and hang your items up. Working, relaxing, and living. Our space have all the essentials you need for your stay.

The Toay House

Unique, historic “rock house” in Mineral Point, WI! Centrally located, Toay House was built by Cornish immigrant Peter Toay in 1856. This historic gem will satisfy the most discerning guests. You will have this entire cozy, Pet Free 2 bedroom home for up to 4 guests with 2 queen beds. A fully equipped kitchen & outside grill allows you to fix your own meals. Use the home and comfortable Deck as a base to simply relax in the quiet neighborhood or take a short walk to downtown or short drive to enjoy the beauty of Gov Dodge State Park, House on the Rock & Driftless Area. Enjoy a stay directly on the backwaters of the Mississippi River. This custom cabin is floating right on the water, and you won't find anything like it! Grab your loved one or friend and surround yourself in nature, while soaking in the hot tub on the floating patio, or in the beautiful tub inside. Relax in the king size bed thats in front of one of the two fireplaces. The cabin has everything you need, including a small kitchen. This floating oasis is located at Millennium Marina.

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish, and recently renovated space. Driftless Pines was completely updated (including a brand new hot tub) with one thing in mind, to create an amazing cabin experience with all the proper luxuries & amenities our guests could want or need. Spend a day on the breathtaking Wisconsin River (just down the road), visit a local favorite in Vickie's Cafe or partake in a wine tasting session at the gorgeous & scenic nearby Wild Hills Winery.

Activities include canoeing, kayaking, hunting, fishing, shopping in quaint villages, or just relaxing watching the river... Our cabin is easy to get to and close to area villages.

80+ acres of Wisconsin Driftless beauty highlighted by private access to the Grant River. Our land is perfect for snowshoeing, hiking, and fishing. The location is on an ATV/UTV route and is great for bicycling, walking, and scenic motorcycle trips.
