This lovely cottage is the creation of Charlevoix's legendary builder in stone, Earl Young. The year was 1929, and the Hollywood director, Norman Panama, commissioned Earl Young to build his summer get-away. Stars of the day, Bing Crosby and Bob Hope partied on the expansive estate-like grounds, with stunning views of Lake Michigan. The "Be Our Guest" cottage can be described as cozy; peaceful; relaxing; pet-friendly. Near beaches and downtown. Fully stocked kitchen and linens.

This completely remodeled home is across the street from Lake Charlevoix. Walk to the Washington Street Beach where you can take advantage of our pair of stand up paddle boards. A boat ramp is just a quarter mile. 3 miles from Castle Farms and downtown Charlevoix. 20 minutes from Boyne Mountain. Home features a brand new kitchen and washer/dryer. One queen bedroom and another bedroom with 2 twins. Also has a separate room with a queen-sized futon to comfortably sleep 6. EV charger.

Retreat to the spacious covered porch to relax and view the acre-and-half property leading down to 100ft of 6Mile Lake frontage. Star gaze while relaxing in the comfortable, Amish-built gilding chairs around the spacious, paver fire pit area .

Spend your vacation at this quaint cottage on a private lake in Northern Michigan. Enjoy swimming, kayaking and grilling. Included in the price are kayaks,a canoe, fishing boat, and a paddleboat. We are located only six miles away from downtown Charlevoix. Excellent fishing at this lake which includes bass among other fish. End your day by the campfire watching the sunset and roasting marshmallows, while hearing/seeing an occasional loon,and seeing a fish or 2 jump!

We only rent for part of the season and hope that your families can create wonderful memories here too. For over 100 years our family has been coming here, and there are other family cabins along the lake. Enjoy non-stop swimming, lake activities, falling asleep to the sounds of the waves, dinners outside, walks along the beach and more.

Close to the Ironton Ferry which takes you to Charlevoix or a short drive into Boyne City. Perfect summer place to enjoy the lake and watch the boats go by. Open year round to enjoy the winter activities. House accommodates 4 adults and 2 children.
