It is set in just under 2 acres of grounds which it shares with our other holiday let Hawthorn Lodge. Situated in the rural village of Coed y Paen. Only 5-minute walk to the Carpenters Arms country pub and restaurant and 10 minutes’ downhill walk to Llandegfedd Lake’s Visitor and Water Sports Centre which also has a lakeside café and walking trails.

Walkers Rest at The Hayloft - The Brecon Beacons

Nestled in the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park, this recent addition to an (ex) 1800s pub is a cosy yet spacious self catering space. Opposite an old church with views across the valley it offers an an ideal getaway with walks in every direction and outdoor activities (canoeing, climbing, horse riding) further afield. Local events include: The Abergavenny Food Festival, Crickhowell Walking Festival, Haye Literary Festival, The Green Man. The village is two miles away with shops and pubs.

Oasis in The Wilds

If you are looking for a peaceful one bedroom arty haven in the wilds with a herd of nine horses, sheep , birdsong , sculptures, streams gurgling & peace. It is a creative haven to come & walk, write, sit & meditate in the wilds, staring out at the Welsh mountains or go to Trellech to the ancient healing well & standing stones & sit by the fire in the cosy Lion pub. We have a wood fired sauna which you can book for an evening and you can go & sit in the ancient quarry amongst the ancient trees.

Birdsong Cottage

Situated on the side of a hidden valley this beautiful and secluded cottage will provide an escape from it all. With its own sauna and outside shower for the brave, private garden and free parking you won't want to move far once you arrive. The cottage is high spec comfort inside and toasty warm with masses of hot water. All eco friendly with air source heat pump and solar panels providing the power. Kick back or explore the area with lots of local walks. Star gaze with no street lights!

The Dairy at Wonderful Escapes

WINNER of Best Self-Catering Property in Wales 2025. The dairy is a spacious home with 6 double or twin bedrooms (some with extra beds), large open plan kitchen/dining room and a huge comfy sitting room. The property has extensive private gardens, with lawns leading into woods at the back and a pretty sun-trap walled garden, games barn, hot tub and BBQ in front. There is also a communal natural swimming pool, sauna, treatment room and conservatory/greenhouse all on the Skirrid Mountain.

The log house is unique. Tucked between garden and orchard with views and use of natural swimming pool and infrared sauna. Ensuite with fully fitted kitchen, double bed or twins, log burner, fire pit BBQ, patio. Set within 140 acres of Trealy Farm - a very special place set on a hillside with stunning views to the Black Mountains. Secluded, peaceful and full of wild beauty yet easy access from major roads. To preserve the peacefulness and for H & S reasons Trealy is an adult only space.

You can go cycling, rambling, and dry ski slope skiing nearby. You can drive to the Brecon Beacons, waterfalls and beautiful beaches. As well as explore castles, caves and world heritage sites.

Our stylish & cosy hideaway is the ultimate escape where you can re-wild yourself in acres of tranquility. Wander straight out the door onto the mountains taking in some breathtaking views. Return home to the sauna, soothe tired limbs & then relax by spinning some vinyl from the record collection, whilst the log burner crackles & the owls enthusiastically serenade as dusk sets in! ( plus we now have an indoor padel ball court for you to exercise your inner Federer!!)

Includes Swimming Pool, Outside Bar & Kitchen, Hot Tub, Pool, Tennis Table, Gym, Bbq, Fire Pit, Children's Play Park, Arcade & Sauna Heated pool last week of Mar to end Dec, 30 degrees, not heated outside these dates, but can be used.

Mountain top Star Gazing Bell Tent & Private Sauna

Enjoy a luxury glamping experience atop our Welsh mountain with outstanding views of the Brecon Beacons and private access to our sauna room, alongside shower and toilet facilities. We are an experienced Air BnB host, and due to the success of our annex and shepherd’s hut (also on-site), we have installed a beautiful new belle tent for you to experience the magic of the mountain. Our Belle Tent is only available in the Summer months, so be sure not to miss out!

Birch Cottage is a charming 3-bedroom stone cottage with a secluded woodland sauna cabin and views across the Wye Valley countryside. It is located on Offas Dyke footpath on a very quiet road, so is great for anyone looking to explore the network of Wye Valley footpaths. Monmouth, Forest of Dean, Bristol, Bath and Cardiff are close enough for day visits. Whatever season you prefer, it's a wonderful place to recharge your batteries and connect with nature.
