Welcome to the quiet Temescal Jewelbox! Recently renovated, our backyard apartment is a home away from home in one of Oakland’s most vibrant centrally located neighborhoods. We love Temescal! Fully equipped new kitchen, a light filled living area with our prize 1957 Metz music cabinet, restored and Bluetooth compatible - stream your play lists from the dedicated WiFi. Settle in to the upstairs bedroom with a cozy reading nook, desk space, a “walk-up” closet, en-suite small bathroom with shower.

The not so tiny, tiny house (with private laundry)

This tiny house is a 525 sqft home sitting offset from our main home. It has everything from a fully stocked kitchen to a laundry room inside this cozy home. Pots/pans, dishes and even a crock pot and waffle maker stock the kitchen. You will have a private fenced in front area with a seating area and artificial grass. We have built this home to welcome you as our friends and keep you comfortable. The home is located in a dog friendly neighborhood. * we do decorate for major US holidays

Quiet, level in botanical garden setting...hummingbirds... convenient washer/dryer and dishwasher. Walk to UC, Peets, Cheese Board, Saul's, Chez Panisse and Fava. Groceries: Andronico's, Magnani Poultry, Monterey Fish and Produce…. Bay views from garden, private rd, parking on request/see House Policies. We're scrupulous on clean. You'll find fresh eggs, granola + fruit, "good" coffee/tea. Wi-fi is strong except if power is out, a consideration for some guests. Also near Tilden Golf!

Exotic getaway in Sobrante hills

This is Mongolian traditional yurt when we married 40 years ago, our parents built it for us. It is located in our backyard about 90 feet from the street on the deck under pine trees. Path to the yurt has 12 steps and 15 degree up on some part of the deck. We have beautifully decorated, half around, eclectic full bathroom outside the yurt just 2 steps away. Yurt has low front door and low beds and seats. No tv, no wifi. It is out of your comfort zone! No human contact, self check in.

Private, Detached, Urban Creekside Studio.

This unique, well equipped, 1 Bed cute little studio (that we love) is detached and fenced off from our main house. It has a separate entrance through a side gate and it's own private rear deck, with a seating and dining area... that overlooks Sausal Creek and Dimond Park. The tall willow that grows along the creek gives the deck the perfect amount of privacy and with the tranquil sound of the creek flowing (not during dry season) you would almost forget you are in an urban city.

A coffee lover's dream! This is a beautiful one-bedroom studio apartment that is in the same building as Xochi the Dog Cafe; a bustling neighborhood coffee spot. Enjoy the modern design, high ceilings, and shared cafe garden as you sip your go-to coffee beverage (on the house) before you set off to see what the Bay Area has to offer. This studio apartment has great extended stay potential with a compact yet, excellent, kitchen, plenty of storage, and a convenient location.

This special place is close to everything, making it easy to plan your visit. This is a cozy gated Home in the middle of a bustling city. Close to Freeways, making it easy to explore the surrounding cities. The house is in OAKLAND, CA! Please do your diligent research on the area. We have lived in this area for years and have lived peacefully. If you need quiet with no outside noise, sorry this is not a place for you. We have no control over what the neighbors do.

This space is downstairs in my centrally located private home, but has its own separate entrance and is not connected to the upstairs. Renovated with a mix of new and vintage furnishings, guests will step down into a comfortable suite with nice natural light in the front and rear of the space, TV with DirecTV, Wi-Fi, a partially stocked kitchenette, full bathroom (shower), and peaceful rear bedroom. I am eager to welcome guests from all backgrounds into my home.

Three sun filled rooms in a 19th century train station are set above fruit trees and mini meadows with a Japanese style soaking tub for one or two. Step out to the beach, park, nature preserve, restaurants, shops and coffee houses. All within .02 miles. Take the bus or boat to downtown San Francisco (15-25 minutes) Charming on site hosts. Safe walkable neighborhood. Art filled and almost Ikea free.
