The cabin sits in the trees along beautiful Lake Sara. The cabin offers a quiet place to relax and unwind. You can bring your kayaks, paddle boards or trailer your family boat along for some fun tubing and skiing on the lake. The dock allows for the boat to be left in the water till the end of your stay. The Marina, Pinky’s (waterfront restaurant), Rusty Reel (bar below Pinky’s ), Cardinal Golf Course, Lake Sara Campground and Lake Sara Beach are all a short walk from the cabin!

Lincoln’s Loft is close to everything making it easy to plan your visit to downtown Vandalia. This loft offers a bedroom, full kitchen and bath, dining room, living room with a pull out sofa, and large smart TV. This loft also offers beautiful views of the oldest State Capitol in IL and is within walking distance to many restaurants, bars, and local shops. 5-10 minutes from I57, I70, and Effingham. Take it easy at this unique and tranquil oak log cabin from 60 years ago on 10 acres of woods and trails. Within walking distance of a nice little restaurant and park in Watson Illinois. Free continental style breakfast items. Seasonal gas fireplace. We do allow 1 night stays if we have openings, please ask. We do allow a pet for a fee. Wild life everywhere around you, but close enough to walk to a restaurant.

Great for bird watching, with great blue herons, egrets, ducks, bald eagles, plovers, cormorants, woodpeckers and other species seen daily.

Enjoy a quiet country setting stay, on the edge of town. Only 2 miles from interstate 70. This is an upstairs luxury apartment with steep stairs to the entrance. It can accomodate up to 4 people comfortably. Vandalia has lots to offer. The historic Old State Capitol where Abraham Lincoln once visited , a walking trail in Rogier Park and beautiful Vandalia Lake.
