Nearby multiple wilderness areas, superb mountain stream fishing, small lake fishing, swimming area & beach, wildlife management areas & miles of trails offer tons of natural amenities and outdoor opportunities.

In the Jefferson National Forest’s 'Mount Rogers National Recreation Area', and with expansive scenic views of Whitetop Mountain and Mount Rogers, Dongola Cabin is a cozy and secluded retreat -- perfect for writers and creatives seeking inspiration and solitude, couples wanting romantic getaways, solo travellers, digital nomads, astronomy enthusiasts, etc. About 30 minutes from the bustling towns of Damascus and Abingdon, the Cabin offers a restive getaway w/ many opportunities for activities.

Relax and enjoy a peaceful stay at the Arrowhead Farm. The house is nestled in the Appalachian Mountains in Marion, Virginia. This 4 bedroom 2 1/2 bath home is just minutes away from Hungry Mother State Park and downtown Marion where you can find local shops, restaurants and special events throughout the year. Other interesting locations and activities close by would include the Appalachian Trail, Back of the Dragon, the Lincoln Theater, the Creeper Trail, Barter Theater, Wohlfahrt Haus and more

NO CLEANING FEES. NO TO DO LISTS BEFORE CHECKING OUT. NO PET FEES. Cozy, private one room cottage (with bathroom), run by a loving, easy-going, non-judging family. Cottage measures 12' x 24' (total of 288sq. feet). Very relaxed environment. Flat rate of $50.00. UPDATE: Deck is now enclosed with old window panes. Super cozy. Has a sink with hot/old water, a hot plate, large toaster oven, and utensils. I am am still putting finishing touches on it, but available for use. Pictures soon.

Marion is the perfect location for outdoor lovers. 15 minutes from Mount Rogers visitor center and the AT.

On 6 wooded acres in a private mountain river cove outside Damascus, VA , our cozy, renovated 3-story A-frame cottage property fronts the cliff-flanked, trout-rich South Fork Holston River. The cottage features 3 spacious bedrooms, each on its own level; a fully equipped kitchen; great room; dining room; laundry room; and a 2nd-floor loft accessing the 16'-wide balcony. A 20' x 12' deck offers space for outdoor relaxing and dining and opens to the large yard with fire pit.
