I will welcome you in my home in the design district, Punavuori. The plan for the evening is to create together a traditional Finnish meal consisting of a starter, a main course and dessert. You will get your hands dirty with peeling, chopping and kneading. Sounds like a lot? Finns like to keep things uncomplicated in all aspects of life - including cooking - so we will finish prepping on time. It is difficult to find another urban space that houses a wide range of architectural styles like Helsinki; neoclassical, neorenaissance, neogothic, art nouveau-jugendstil, nordic classicism, modernism, and contemporary styles in a compact city centre. In addition to its rich architectural history and variety, Helsinki was chosen as the World Design Capital in 2012 and was awarded with City of Design status by UNESCO in 2014. All these features coupled with the importance given to design elevated Helsinki into being a major city of architecture. Different historical periods left their marks on Helsinki; however it is easy to miss these great works of world renowned architects (from Engel to Saarinen, from Sonck to Aalto) in ordinary city tours as there are layers of architecture in each corner of the white city of the North. Kayaking at Väliväylä river, near village of Kannuskoski. Maximum leght of journey is 8 kilometers. We will paddle through small rapids at Kyykoski. Route gives enough challenge and variable views to Finnish nature and summer life. (At high water we have to carry kayaks over biggest rapid) Different kind of routes available. Also bigger groups with canoes possible. Ask for more info. Day schedule: -Paddlers and kayaks to the starting point -Getting used to kayaks and paddling -Now we go! -500m first small rapid -1,5km last rapid and short break at Sulunkoski -4km Turn back point at Taikinakoski. Longer break and snacks. -6,5km Break Sulunkoski. 100meter carrying over two rapids -8km Back to starting point. It is possible to spend the evening at my property by grilling or having sauna. Ask also overnight staying options.

We meet near the main railway station or somewhere else in the city center. The place of the photoshoot depends on the weather conditions, the location is negotiated before a photoshoot. I know nice places in Helsinki, starting with the city center and finishing with natural areas. If you prefer the center, we can take photos in the park of Botanical garden, the Senate square, Katajanokka, or the Töölö and Eira neighbourhoods. However, if you want to get picturesque photos in the Nordic nature, we can take a walk on the Lauttasaari island or Suomenlinna island (a 20 min ferry trip). As a result, you’ll have 25-30 professionally edited photos within 14 days. Things to note: Before a photoshoot, I discuss outfits or, at least, colours of your clothes. It’s essential, because it affects the result. I send you examples of clothes that will perfectly suit for a shoot in the location of your choice. In the spring and summer season I don’t take photos in the midday, because of the harsh light. If you want to get beautiful and warm pictures it’s better to book a photoshoot after 19:00. We have a long light day in Finland at this season. If you need a photoshoot in the middle of the day, I’m open for discussion. Please, contact me for time outside the schedule. We will be together discovering the majestic and medieval town of Porvoo on a 6,5 hour tour from Helsinki. This tour will include 2 hour bus ride to and from Helsinki to Finland's second oldest city. The city is situated around 50 kms east of Helsinki! In around 4 hours, we will explore the cute little town of Porvoo. While taking a walking tour through the cobbled Old Town of Porvoo, we will admire the 15th-century cathedral, old Town Hall and traditional red-painted store houses along the riverside. Continuing our journey from the old town, we will go to the mysterious castle, old railway station and soak in the picturesque and breath-taking view of Porvoo from the top. All through this, we will explore city's history, its origins and the people who shaped it. At the end of the tour, there will be some time to buy souvenirs at the quaint craft shops.
