Najbližje plaže v Ankaranu je oddaljena 4 km približno 7 km pa je do nove plaže v Kopru. V bližini je trgovina, pošta, bari, slaščičarna. Urejene so peš poti in kolesarska pot Parencana, po kateri lahko pridemo do turističnega Portoroža. 20 km od Škofij se nahaja kobilarna Lipica, 50 km Postojnska jama in Predjamski grad.

Kasnije je postala idilično obiteljsko utočište na brežuljku nasuprot srednjovjekovnog grada Motovuna, u blizini biciklističke i izletničke trase Parenzana, lječilišta Istarske Toplice i aquaparka Istralandia. Bivališče je oddaljeno od središča mesta 400m, in omogoča preprost dostop do vseh pomembnih točk. Smo v peš coni in območju kolesarske proge PARENZANA. Povezava za kolesarje je imenitna ob morju. Do Kopra je samo 4.7 km izpod stoletnih borovcev. Če pa izberete kolesarsko pot proti Portorožu in Piranu, imate dva vzpona in tunela stare železnice PARENZANA. Izola ima mestno plažo Svetilnik, najbolj čisto morje je tu. Plaža ima naravno senco borovcev. V morju se kopamo do sredine oktobra.
